Respect for secularism

Expressions of religious beliefs

The patient’s freedom of belief is fully recognised and respected. However, the expression of religious convictions must not affect the quality of care, good practice within the clinic or interfere with the organization of the clinic, its procedures regarding hygiene or disturb the tranquillity of the other patients or the health care professionals and other staff. The patient is free to choose his or her practitioner except in cases of emergency or where this would disrupt the organisation of the consultations. Finally, the neutrality of the staff at CIDO implies that all patients will be treated in exactly the same way regardless of their religious beliefs, philosophy of life or social status.
